Which performers and what types of events would bring you to the Veterans' Memorial Auditorium?

As we re-open the VMA doors, we want to know who would you love to see on stage? What kinds of events would you, your family, and your friends come to? Dream big—we'd love to hear your ideas, whether it's concerts, comedy, dance, family events, or something completely new.

I was a pre-pandemic independent producer at Marin Center producing in 2019 Jefferson Starship/ Big Brother & the Holding Co to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Woodstock. Logistically, I can no longer produce shows, but here is an idea: 60th anniversary of Summer of Love: 2027 is the 60th. There are still bands alive and kicking, several from SF Bay Area. Marin County kicked off the Summer of Love with the Fantasy Fair & Mountain Festival on Mt.Tam in early June 1967 with Jefferson Airplane (now J.Starship), Steve Miller Band, Sons of Champlin, Canned Heat, Grass Roots. Monterey Pop Festival followed in late June with Jefferson Airplane, Steve Miller Band, Canned Heat, Big Brother & the Holding Co. Other SF Summer of Love bands still around: Family Stone, Ace of Cups. Tribute bands: Grahame Lesh & Friends (Grateful Dead), SF Airship (J.Airplane/Starship), Wild Child (Doors). Perhaps a series in summer 2027 with a couple of these bands at each show?

Mummenschanz I loved seeing this amazing mime troupe several times at the VMA and I wish my grandchildren could to see them. The troupe is doing a final tour after 55 years of performances. Last chance to see! " 'Adieu!' is now booking in North America in 2028. This 90-minute journey through the imagination requires no translation and appeals to audiences of all ages, transporting them into a boundless yet familiar world of comedy, poetry, tenderness, and magic". Hint to Engage Marin: Opus3Artists is the booking agency.
